On October 30, 2016 the Durham Central Park held a Halloween themed food truck rodeo with over 50 food trucks and venues. It featured many different food trucks, with many different types of food and caterers. They had foods like fresh crêpe dishes and mac and cheese. Along with live music from The Swang Brother’s. The food truck rodeo is a family friendly space that welcomes everyone.
The park was vibrant and full of energy. The multiple food trucks brought different smells and colors throughout the park and many different people interacted and enjoyed the atmosphere. The music by The Swang Brothers could be heard throughout the park. People got up to dance along, while others watched and enjoyed their meals.
On top of the amazing food, there were venues set up where you could buy different things. Some sold paintings and wooden crafts while others sold crochet blankets and hats. There were also information stations set up throughout the park. There was information on firefighters and others on going green, like the Leaf Filters Gutter Guards.
The park is welcoming and family friendly. There is a separate playground for the children to play on and dogs are welcomed also. The event is a great place to meet new people, and experience new cultures and their foods from all around the world.
